Gypsum Rocks! – Closet Renovation Continues
September 18, 2010I am on the third week of this renovation – I am sure many of you can relate to it. I can only do the loud work when guests are gone from the and then in-between my kitchen clients and graphic jobs. So while it is taking longer – it is getting closer to being finished! This week I cut up some gyprock and finished the inside walls of the closet – then I muddied all the connections and am ready for sanding.
I also created a design through google sketchp that will accommodate the sides of the closet that surrounds the transition door to the adjacent area – I have a spot for shoes and a rod for pants – should work well – and it is always good to have a plan when doing renovations. So take the time and draw it out – more importantly do not me afraid or too stubborn to change it if you need to as the project progresses.
A couple of tips seen in this video include cutting the sheet, using gypsum tape, and muddying the corners! Once the inside closet was all muddied and sanded it was time for the shelves and paint – stay tuned for the next video on that!
