Painting Textured Wallpaper
October 2, 2010As with almost every renovation I do – I got sidetracked while waiting for the closet paint to dry and decided to paint the wallpaper in my room. This is a textured wallpaper and is paintable – I put it up about a year ago but never liked the peach color next to my cumin walls. So I decided to paint it a soft cream white in a satin finish. I also decided to add to the wooden trim that I had put up previously – giving a more custom look. The trim is along the seems as well – which helps with the adhering of the wall paper – eliminates fraying – and helps with pattern matching. It also looks great!
So 36 hours later the wall is white – with larger trim and it looks fab! Sometimes less is more – and in this case it was wise to take away the extra color of peach and brighten the room. Okay back to the closet……

The blog was absolutely fantastic! Lots of great information and inspiration, both of which we all need!
Thanks Cheree – Thats why I share!
