This large oil painting is dear to my heart – it is a celebration of red – countless layers of rich red oils with light streams leading onto the water or ground. This piece took months with layers needing to dry and finally cure – if you love red – you will feel as I do and it is memorizing as I get lost in the reds….. it is very textured with hand, knife, and brush technique – it has been oiled out for sheen evening and is not varnished
