“Nova Scotia Pride” is part of my Nova Scotia Strong – Isolation series ( a collection of impressionistic paintings created this summer to celebrate the beauty and strength of my home province during these chaotic and strenuous times). This piece is a large romantic and moody view of Peggys Cove – in the distance – standing strong – waiting for the clouds to break and the sun to shine once more . Created with a muted pallet of greys and hints of teal and umber – I painted my two largest paintings of this series – both of Peggys cove and both with the same pallet – Acrylic knife painting on gallery stretched canvas with gloss varnish.
