Retreat is a romantic painting of Crystal Crescent beach and is part of my Nova Scotia Strong – Isolation series ( a collection of impressionistic paintings created during covid to celebrate the beauty and strength of my home province during these chaotic and strenuous times). Acrylic knife painting on gallery stretched canvas with gloss varnish this piece has a soft pallet of grey blues and sienna with touches of green. This piece was created as if it was a memory of a favorite place and time .
