“Weather the storm” is part of my Nova Scotia Strong – Isolation series ( a collection of impressionistic paintings created this summer to celebrate the beauty and strength of my home province during these chaotic and strenuous times). This piece is 12×16 and is of Peggy’s cove – painted during the recent hurricane Teddy – it is how I imagined the iconic lighthouse would look standing tall against the stormy seas – primarily grey blue and muted umbers .- acrylic knife painting on gallery stretched canvas with gloss varnish.
