My largest oil poppy painting to date – with a contemporary twist and blue teal background. Rich layers of deep oil paint give this piece a commanding presence and needs a special room or office as it will take over the room 🙂 So Named because my lovely Greyhound Shepard Gypsy was by my side the entire time I painted it and got caught in the initial photo . The more I thought of it the more the name appealed to me with the contrasting colours and the carefree layout – painting was oiled out to even the sheen – no varnish as the colours are so vibrant without the gloss. On a custom made gallery stretched canvas.
